Gloucester Pharmaceuticals has reported positive data from a Phase II trial of romidepsin, a novel, cyclic peptide, pan-HDAC inhibitor under investigation for hematologic malignancies.
The study conducted by the US National Cancer Institute is a seven-arm, phase II, open-label trial of romidepsin in patients with cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL) and peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL). The study enrolled 71 CTCL patients in three arms of the study that received romidepsin. Patients received 14mg/m2 of romidepsin infused on days one, eight and 15 every 28 days

miR-17∼92, miR-106b∼25, and miR-106a∼363 belong to a family of highly conserved miRNA clusters. Amplification and overexpression of miR-17∼92 is observed in human cancers, and its oncogenic properties have been confirmed in a mouse model of B cell lymphoma. The article provides key insights into the physiologic functions of this family of microRNAs and suggest a link between the oncogenic properties of miR-17∼92 and its functions during B lymphopoiesis and lung development.
