Staphylococcal enterotoxin B is one of many bacterial proteins that can trigger lethal shock in humans by upping the levels of certain T-cells associated with inflammatory responses. Amer Beg et al explore the possibility of using NF-kB to prevent such reactions. This one's been around for a while but I like it.
